What Is Original Art?
Each painting below is 100% original and handmade. These paintings are not prints, giclees or reproductions of any kind. All of the paintings are created on high-quality canvas. A certificate of authenticity is available on request. The certificate states the painting's name and dimensions, artist’s name (Kathleen Karlsen), year the painting was created, media used and a guarantee of the fact that it is a 100% original, handmade piece. I am also happy to provide customer references on request.

Frames and Pricing
All paintings are sold ready to hang and are gallery wrap canvases. Gallery wrap paintings do not require a frame. Works are generally priced by the square inch to keep the pricing as objective as possible. This means smaller works are generally less expensive. This pricing structure curves up at the smaller end (more per square inch) and down at the larger end (less per square inch). Some works of the same size may be priced differently depending on the level of details and time involved in creating the work, but the prices stay within an appropriate range for the painting size.

FREE SHIPPING in the continental US and to Canada. The prices you see on my art gallery website are exactly what you will pay to have your chosen piece delivered to your doorstep. International shipping is also possible. Some fees may apply. Every painting is bubble wrapped and shipped with protection for the corners in reinforced boxes. All paintings are fully insured. All works are 100% STATISFACTION GUARANTEED. Returned works (within 30 days of purchase) will be charged shipping and a 15% handling fee.

How to Purchase
To purchase a painting, please visit my gallery site at kathleenkarlsenart.com. From there, you will be able to send an email with the title of the paintings(s) that you wish to purchase and the means of payment. This will reserve the painting(s) for you. Payment plans may be available for paintings of $500 or over. If you wish to pay by Pay Pal or credit card, I will send an electronic invoice. I will confirm when payment has been received and when your painting has been shipped. If you wish to pay by check, your painting will be shipped when payment clears.
